Expiration Dates
Does Gatorade or Sqwincher Expire? The answer is NO. Gatorade and Sqwincher both have suggested use by dates as this is a FDA requirement for food products. However these dates do not indicate expiration and only serve as a date in which the product will be best used by. Both Gatorade and Sqwincher should be kept in a temperature controlled environment to preserve the quality of the product and to prevent any hardening of the powders. However this hardening does not indicate that the product is unusable.

Hydration Depot adheres to the strict policies of Gatorade and Sqwincher on shipping product with a minimum of 30 days prior to suggested use by dates and in some cases a minimum of 1 week. Contact our customer service department for further information on product dating and ordering. We cannot refund, or replace any product that has been shipped according to this date policy. Hydration Depot is an authorized Gatorade and Sqwincher distributor, we sell only factory direct product, never any seconds or product past suggested use by date.
Sqwincher uses the Julian code dating system on all packages to identify production dates. An example is as follows: 1 1 3 0 The first number shows which year the product was produced (for example, '1' means the product was produced in 2021). The last three numbers designate the day of the year the product was produced (for example, '1 3 0' means the 130th day of the year or May 10, 2021).

In addition, we also follow strict quality assurance guidelines with respect to remaining shelf life at the time an order is shipped from one of our distribution centers. For the items in question the minimum remaining shelf life guarantee is 30 days. Typical shipping circumstances usually exceed these minimums by a significant margin.
The recommended shelf life for Gatorade products indicates when the product is at its optimal freshness and flavor versus an expiration date. Storing shelf stable products in a clean, dry, and cool location is very important to maintaining high product integrity. Many factors may reduce the recommended shelf life such as high temperature and direct sunlight. Shelf stable beverages beyond their recommended shelf life are safe to consume but may experience slight changes in flavor or color. However, there is no change to ingredients or efficacy. If the product is sealed correctly and has no obvious off-color or odor that would indicate product is not optimal, there is no reason why it cannot be consumed past recommended usage date."
